Editorial policy

What we publish, how we date it, and what we will not do.

  1. Sources

    Rules come from the land manager's own pages or orders. Model lists come from the IGBC, the park lists those areas name, and the manufacturers' own pages for specs. Each page links its sources.

  2. Dates

    Each rule shows the day we checked it and, where the source shows one, the date the source says it was updated. We never show the build date as a check date.

  3. Uncertainty

    We use LIKELY_LEGAL and VERIFY instead of guessing, and we flag old sources and orders about to end. We keep areas we have not confirmed off the site.

  4. No copying

    We write rules in our own words. We do not reproduce manufacturer marketing text, and we show no prices.

  5. Money

    Some model pages and a few answer pages carry Amazon links. We earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. Verdicts never depend on whether a link exists.

  6. Corrections

    If a rule is wrong or has changed, we correct the page and update its checked date. See contact.
